Attractors 101
Did you know that a quark particle can not exist separated and that it is always part of a couple? Interestingly the farther you pull the couple apart the stronger the force holding them together.
In this work I studied this concentric attraction field deforming an uniform chess grid of 14 x 7 square tiles. The middle part pyramids are smaller and upright. The farther from the center the more excited they get. They rise and skew in radial directions.
Although spiky in the detail, the slowly bending silhouette gives the piece a sense of softness.
